Chinese Shougang increases coil prices for March

Shougang, one of the largest steel companies in China informed its trade agents to raise the prices of hot rolled and cold rolled coils by RMB180/ton and RMB180~RMB250/ton respectively for March.

Also, the company decided to increase its prices for hot dipped galvanized coils by RMB180~RMB230/ton.

After the adjustment, the company's prices for Q235 HRC with thickness of 5.5mm are at RMB3, 770/ton.

Meanwhile, it's known that Shougang has almost resumed its No.2 blast furnace at its Jingtang works. The company planned to ship around 55%~70% of its commercial HRC in March, in comparison of 10%~20% in February.
